Terms of Use
Last updated 30 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and [legal entity name] ("we", "us") for your use of Stackboard. By signing in you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you confirm you may bind it.
Your account
You sign in through a provider rather than with a password we hold. Keep that provider account secure — anything done through it is treated as done by you. Tell us at [contact email] if you believe it has been used without your permission.
Organizations
Content belongs to the organization it was created in, not to the person who created it. Administrators of an organization can change roles, remove members, and delete what the organization holds. If you join an organization you do not control, it is that organization that decides what happens to what you make there.
What you may not do
- Break the law with it, or help anyone else to.
- Deploy code you have no right to deploy, or connect a repository you have no right to connect.
- Use the API proxy to attack, scan or overload anyone else's systems.
- Attempt to reach data belonging to an organization you are not a member of, or to defeat the checks that keep them apart.
- Upload malware, or anything designed to harm somebody who runs it.
Your content
What you register stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service — to store it, and to serve it to the people you have shared it with. You are responsible for what you deploy and for having the rights to it.
Apps run your code
Stackboard serves code from repositories you connect. We do not review it. Anyone who launches an app is running whatever its owner put there, and the owner is responsible for it. Environment variables marked public are sent to the browser and are not secret.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and there is no service level commitment unless we have agreed one with you in writing. We may change or discontinue features, and will give [notice period] notice before removing something significant.
Ending it
You can stop using Stackboard at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken, or where we must for legal or security reasons. [State what happens to data on termination, and any export window.]
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. [State any aggregate liability cap.]
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above says when they last changed, and we will tell you in the application where a change is material. Continuing to use Stackboard after that means you accept the new version.
